I'd like to introduce you to Steven Seagul

And whilst away down south, I took a some proper photos. Well, by that I mean with a real camera not just pinhole ones. One of the best characters captured in pixels has to be Steven. Steven is the cheeky chappy with a beakful of ice cream. Before Steven arrived on the scene there was another gul making the most of the dropped Whippy-cream. But Steven (with his muscles) was much bigger and better at gobbling and so deserved a photo. That said, Nigel- the man on the rocks- also has a special place in my heart. I don't know that he is a Nigel, but I think he looks like one.

Solar Perranporth

Some solargraphs from a Cornish garden. The last time I did some solargraphs was in the Lake District. The weather was not particularly forgiving. And the sun rarely appeared. Rendering said photographic experiments rather redundant. But these showed up. Maybe I can squeeze a few more in before summer leaves us for another 10 months or so.

Challenge accepted

Thinking caps on chaps. If, like me, you've been a little lax of late- what with holiday season looming large over all of us- here's a chance to dust off those synapses. It's time now for pulling your woollen foot gloves up, all the way over the knees, put pens to paper, noses to screens and to break the back of some interesting problems. An impossible problem seems a good place to start.
