In another deviation from crap-tastic Christmas objects behind the excessively premature Xmas countdown doors, I've chosen two things totally not crap.


As part of 6Music's gallant effort to keep indie record shops alive, they stopped off in hometown Brum today and to the Diskery. And it's this that shall be the advent treat of the day. More specifcally the track Diskery man requested and- as he so rightly put it- the one you'll never forget, your first Diskery purchase.


So his was Marvin Gaye's 'What's going on?'

and mine is Peter Gabriel's 'Mercy Street' off the So album.

Much like advent calendars and pill packets, I've forgotten to post an advent window every day. Plan to catch up, gorging self as I go on 'forgotten chocs'- or in this case crap Christmas themed things.

So for this day, Door number 12
